With the help of other community members, I am working towards bringing a non-profit charitable therapy program to Lloydminster, AB/SK. The objective of this organization is to form a network of caring individuals who are willing to share their special dogs to bring happiness and cheer to people, young and old alike. Therapy dogs provide affection, support, and comfort to people of all ages in hospitals, retirement homes, rehab facilities, special needs facilities, nursing homes, schools, and libraries. These dogs can improve socialization, communication and encourage reading skills. Through regular scheduled visits, TPOC enhances quality of life and health through animal/human bond to members of a community.
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for animals. I am also a strong believer that my dog should have a job other than holding down my couch. As Jorja is maturing, her temperament has made me realize that she has so much affection and attention to share. Often on our public adventures, strangers take the time to approach her and connect with her. Jorja has inspired me to get involved with pet therapy and hopefully we will be out making visits very soon.
My goal as a breeder is to have all my dogs therapy certified and out making visits in our community while bringing joy to seniors, students and children.
